A flexible and friendly font for quite a few functions! Wishbone is mainly a display typeface, originally created to complement my illustration and art style. The challenge, then, was observing certain features of my works that inform my type, and applying those features. My art style has not been consistent as I continue to explore, but they had always been something that looks rounded, or “cute” as I am inspired by and draw heavily from animated or cartoon works and characters. After several observations, sketches and drafts, I came to a solid grasp of the concept, and ended up with a working typeface that not only complemented my works but also be flexible enough to have potential in other functions or spaces.
