Regal Forest was built with a rustic, and regal appeal in mind, and it’s aesthetics made to incorporate the idea of shy forest of spirits. Inspired by the hiding Koroks of the game Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The diamonds placed within negative spaces, are meant to represent hiding forest spirits, taking spaces that had otherwise been absent. And to further accentuate this motif of a forest, triangles are cut of from multiple sections of a letter to mimic the stripping of bark, and subject the overall typeface to a feeling of natural decay
