Jimi is a decorative typeface with serif attributes that is heavily inspired by the 70’s aesthetic of the lava lamp. With its rounded and abstract features, the intended use of the typeface is mainly for titles and headers. One interesting note is that vintage fonts usually go for more futuristic styles with sharper lines and points inspired by 80's trends. I wanted to capitalize on the lack of the opposite, that being a (literally) more fluid take on the aesthetic.
